About Cartier eyewear frames

Cartier eyewear is a product of a brand name that has been around for more than 150 years, was founded by Louis-Francois Cartier when he took over his teacher’s workshop in 1847. He later brought his sons Alfred and Louis in as partners and renamed his company to Alfred Cartier & Fils. A Cartier store was opened in England in 1902 and two years after the first warrants were awarded by King Edward VII of England to Cartier. After the death of Louis-Francois, his sons took over the management of the company and opened more branches in England and later in New York. In 1906, the company produced its first art deco jewelry. Over the years, Cartier designed and made many fine jewelry watches and clocks. Furthermore, Cartier also designed a Panthere motive brooch for the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and sold a pear-shaped white blue diamond to Richard Burton.
